RESOLUTION NO. 2019-03
A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMISSION OF THE TOWN OF BROCK,
PARKER COUNTY, TEXAS, DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE
GENERAL ELECTION OF THE TOWN OF BROCK HELD NOVEMBER
S, 2019, FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELECTING THE MAYOR AND TWO
COMMISSIONERS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, it is hereby found and determined that notice Of the November 5, 2019
general election was duly given in the form, manner and time required by law, and said election
was in all respects legally held and conducted in accordance with applicable laws of the State of
Texas and the proceedings calling and governing the holding of such election; and,
WHEREAS, the Parker County Elections Office conducted the election for the Town of
Brock and conducted the election in the manner prescribed by law and has now tabulated the votes
cast in the election, which is attached here to as Exhibit A; (cumulative results report); and,
WHEREAS, the returns of said election have been duly and legally made and submitted
to the Town Commission for confirmation of the canvassing, and a tabulation of the returns for
the polling place and for early voting, as canvassed and tabulated by the Parker County Elections
Office and now confirmed by the Commission as follows:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
TOWN OF BROCK, PARKER COUNTY, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. RECITAL* TRUE AND CORRECT The Recitals above are true and
correct and are incorporated herein and made a pert hereof for all purposes.
2. That the Commission hereby canvasses the returns of the November 5,
2019 General Election, which was submitted to all known resident, qualified electors of the
Town for their action thereupon.
SECTION 3. That said election was duly called, that notice of said election was given in
accordance with law, and that said election was held in accordance with law, and that Jay
Hamilton was duly elected Mayor and Debbie Scrimshire and Ben Davis were duly elected
Commissioners. The above named parties are hereby declared duly elected Mayor and
Commissioners, subject to the taking of the oath-of-office as provided by the laws of the State of
SECTION 4. The Town Clerk posted written notice of the date, place and subject of this
meeting and said notice was posted and remained posted continuously for at least 72 hours
preceding the scheduled time of said meeting.
This resolution shall becorne effective immediately from and after its
DULY PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE TOWN OF
RROCK, PARKER COUNH, TEXAS, ON THE 15TH DAY OF NOVEMBER 2019.
